Where the
pavement ends and the West begins…
From
Rhinestones to RAWHIDE!
Session 1: June 5th - 8th 2007
Session 2: July 10th -13th 2007
Attention
Queens:
You have a once in a
lifetime opportunity to experience ranch life first hand. Join
Miss Rodeo America 2005, Selena (Ulch) Pope
on the Pope Rawhide Ranch in
Cokeville,
Wyoming for four action-packed,
dirt under your fingernail days. From moving cows on the 80,000 acre range to
doctoring and
roping calves, if you need to knock some polish off, we will give a new
meaning to cowgirl up!
All inclusive stay means
that we provide your canvas tent, grub, horses, tack, and, of course, your
calluses! A mock interview with the head boss will get you hired. The days
will wear long and hard, but the starlit
Wyoming nights will be filled
with cowboy poetry and impromptu questions by the bonfire. We have carefully
balanced rodeo queening with a rigorous schedule of ranch work…and ranch
play! Major areas of pageant competition will also be covered. Some of these
include interview, horsemanship, rodeo knowledge and modeling.
Don’t miss your chance to be
branded a Rawhide Ranch cowgirl! The journey is priceless! Bedrolls are
limited, so if you are 16 or older, make your reservations today! Free
shuttling to and from the
Salt Lake City
Airport is available.
An application is attached.
Please contact Selena (Ulch) Pope at
wyobling@yahoo.com or 775-343-5611
with any questions. Applications for Session 1 due May 1st 2007.
Applications for Session 2 due June 1st 2007.
(See attached application for
Early Bird Discount information!)
To most,
this lifestyle is a dream that is out of reach…
Although
I had the privilege of wearing the crown of Miss Rodeo America 2005, when I
became a part of the Pope Family, I truly began to understand the lifestyle of
the American Cowboy at a much deeper level. I rode under a lot of arena
lights, but there is no glory greater than riding under the moonlight after a
long day of driving cattle. The Pope Rawhide Ranch is my passion and I hope
to share our family tradition with young women across the nation.
Ride
Tall,
Selena (Ulch)
